Springbank
56
A fast loop through open roads west of Calgary, finishing on the COP switchbacks.
About This Route
Springbank 56 is a fast, no-nonsense loop that keeps the effort high from the first kilometre. The route pushes out onto long open roads before making a sweeping arc back toward the start via a punishing finishing climb.
With 562m of climbing spread across 55.6km, the route is not the hardest in the catalogue — but the pace makes it harder than it looks. Come prepared. The effort ramps up at the first segment and doesn't let up until the switchbacks at the finish.
