Cochrane
Classic
A big loop through Calgary's west and northwest. Eight segments. Big elevation. Ride hard, earn your coffee.
About This Route
The Cochrane Classic is a sprawling 89km loop that pushes north and west out of Cougar Ridge into the open roads of the Airport corridor, Glen Eagle, and deep into the northwest before Edworthy Park finishes you off on the way home.
The route threads through some of Calgary's most demanding terrain: the false flats and punchy rollers of the northwest, the exposed straights near the Airport, and enough cumulative climbing to separate those who came prepared from those who didn't. With 960m of gain across 89km, this is a route that rewards consistent effort and good pacing.
With 960m of gain across 89km, this is a route that rewards consistent effort and good pacing. Arrive with full bottles, fully fuelled, and legs that have had their rest.
