About This Route

The Bragg Creek ride is one of the best all-day loops out of Calgary — long enough to feel like a proper outing, but relaxed enough that you'll actually enjoy the scenery. The route rolls southwest from the city into genuine foothills terrain, trading suburbs for gravel shoulders, bison pastures, and mountain views that justify the effort.

The outbound leg drifts through Priddis and along the Elbow River corridor, passing through some of the most peaceful riding in the Calgary area. The climbs are real but measured — enough to give you something to push against without going too deep.

"Bragg Creek village at the midpoint, coffee if you want it, then a relaxed roll home. That's the whole plan."

The climbing is spread evenly across the route — some punchy short ramps, one long sustained drag, and plenty of rolling terrain that rewards a smooth tempo.
